Cassell's Book of Knowledge was intended for children but there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained at any age and I'm sure you can learn something new from each one of the more than 4000 pages.
A quick flick through and I saw St. Paul's Cathedral was paid for by adding a tax to all coal brought into London....Nice to know!
There are some horological references throughout also.
Unfortunately, there are some line scribbles in each book which I assume to be the work of a young child but fortunately they were considerate enough to only deface the blank pages, leaving all content clear from obstruction.
Shipping will be quite high on this due to the weight
